General Public The Levy Library is not open to the general public. Residents of the New York City metropolitan area may visit the Levy Library on a pre-arranged date to use a specific item if that item is not available at their local institution or the New York Public Libraries. To do so, please obtain a METRO Courtesy Card ("yellow card") referral from a library that participates in the METRO referral network. The METRO referral network includes many academic and special libraries in the metropolitan area, as well as the New York Public Libraries. METRO Courtesy Cards must be presented to a librarian during the times that Reference services are available. The yellow METRO Courtesy Card indicates which item the reader may use and the date that he or she may visit the Levy Library. METRO Card holders may not use materials that are not listed on the card and they may not borrow materials. Last updated January 2012 |
