HistoryThe Board of Directors of the Jews' Hospital in the City of New York first met on February 25, 1852. The name of the corporation changed to Mount Sinai Hospital in 1866. The Board of Directors became the Board of Trustees at the annual meeting on January 28, 1917. The work of the Board is accomplished through the officers meeting in Executive Committee as well as through numerous standing and ad hoc committees. Scope and ContentThis series includes the Board and Executive Committee only. The minutes of the full Board are complete from 1852. The Executive Committee minutes are included after the 1940s.
